Let’s do this!

Now that you’re ready for counseling to focus on yourself, have healthy relationships, and have more confidence, there are just a couple more housekeeping issues. Everything you need to get started is here.  If you have any additional questions, give us a call or send an email.

Scheduling an appointment

We offer all of our new clients a free 15-20 minute phone consult. However, if you already know you want to schedule an appointment, you can skip the consult and schedule an intake assessment.

While the easiest way to schedule is through our secure online portal, you can also give us a call or shoot us an email.

You can click on any of our links that say “client portal”, “schedule free phone consult”, or “schedule an appointment” to access our scheduling system.

  1. Select your preferred therapist
  2. Service: “free phone consult” or “intake session”
  3. Location: select the location that best fits your need.
    1. Phone for free phone consults
    2. Main Location for in-person sessions
    3. TeleMentalHealth – Video for online counseling sessions
  4. Select date and time (the sooner, the better!)
  5. Enter your name, email, and phone number
  6. Click “Request Appointment”

When your therapist gets the request, the system will send you an email confirmation.

What to expect

Free Phone Consult

At your scheduled time, your therapist will call you.  In the free consult, you can expect to:

  • Provide a brief idea of why you’re coming to therapy
  • Understand how we can help you have more confidence
  • Answer any questions you may have
  • Schedule your first session, an intake assessment
  • Understand next steps

Intake Assessment

Once you’re ready to start, here’s what to expect.

  1. When you schedule your intake, we’ll hold your time for you for 24 hours to give you time to return your intake paperwork. We are not able to schedule your appointment without the completed paperwork.
  2. We’ll send you and email with a link to our client portal. In the client portal, you’ll be able to electronically complete and sign everything on your computer, phone, or tablet. This paperwork includes several documents, most importantly:
    1. informed consent giving us permission to treat you
    2. privacy policies
    3. practice policies
    4. demographic information
    5. payment information
  3. Once your paperwork is returned, we’ll confirm your appointment. This confirmation will include the address if you’re coming in person or a link to the video session if your appointment is online.
  4. Our system will send you automatic reminders of the appointment according to the preferences you set up.
