Therapy for people who learned how to adapt... and forgot to make room for themselves.

Masking. Overthinking. Feeling different.
Whether you are navigating identity, chronic illness, complex trauma, or the feeling of never quite fitting, you deserve space for yourself, too.

Hey, I'm Natalie.

If you've spent a lot of your life feeling different, misunderstood, or like you're somehow getting life wrong, you're not alone.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, caring, and incredibly hard on themselves. They spend a lot of time overthinking, second-guessing themselves, masking parts of who they are, or wondering why things seem harder for them than they do for everyone else.

Maybe you've gotten really good at adapting to what other people need...
Maybe you've learned to hide the parts of yourself that don't seem to fit...
Maybe you're carrying things that feel difficult to explain, even to the people closest to you.

My goal isn't to tell you who you are.
It's to help you understand yourself with more clarity, compassion, and confidence.

I believe therapy should be a place where you don't have to perform, have all the answers, or explain yourself perfectly. Together, we'll make sense of what's been weighing on you, build on your strengths, and create space for the parts of you that may have been overlooked for a long time.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, identity questions, chronic illness, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can help you stop fighting yourself and start making room for who you actually are.

My therapy style

Every therapist brings something different into the room. Here's a little of mine.

warm

I value connection and helping people feel welcomed, understood, and accepted as they are. Therapy doesn't have to feel formal or intimidating. I want it to feel like a place where you can be yourself.

gentle

My style is supportive and often a little slower paced. I believe people open up when they feel safe, not pressured. I make space for what's underneath the surface and trust that meaningful change doesn't have to be rushed.

practical

I enjoy helping people make sense of their experiences and find realistic ways to apply what they're learning outside of therapy. Understanding yourself is important, but I also want therapy to feel useful in your everyday life.

"Sometimes our pain can feel so big that it's hard to put into words. My goal is to help people make sense of what they're carrying and find the words for experiences that have felt difficult to explain."

Why Does This Keep Happening?

A lot of the people I work with aren't confused about what's wrong.

They've thought about it. Analyzed it. Read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Maybe they've even been to therapy before.

They know they're overthinking...
They know they're hard on themselves...
They know they keep second-guessing everything...

The frustrating part is that understanding the pattern doesn't always change the pattern.

Often, these struggles aren't random personality quirks.
They're adaptations.

Many people who struggle with masking, belonging, overthinking, or feeling different learned early on to prioritize safety, acceptance, or other people's needs over their own.

Sometimes that's because of obvious trauma.

More often, it's the accumulation of smaller experiences over time... feeling misunderstood, unseen, different, or responsible for everyone else.

This is one of the reasons we specialize in complex trauma.
Because the goal isn't just to understand the pattern.

It's to understand where it came from, why it made sense, and whether it's still serving you now.

This Is Where Things Start to Shift

Most people don't need more insight.

They need help connecting what they're experiencing today to the experiences that shaped them.

Instead of focusing only on symptoms, we'll start looking at the bigger picture...
|The anxiety.
The overthinking.
The masking.
The exhaustion.
The feeling that everyone else got a manual for life that somehow skipped you.

Together, we'll explore how these patterns developed, what they may have been protecting you from, and what might become possible if you no longer had to organize your life around them.

Because when you understand your patterns through the lens of compassion instead of self-criticism, change becomes a lot more possible.

You might recognize yourself here...

Some of the experiences and patterns that often bring people into therapy with me.

overthinking

You replay conversations, second-guess yourself, and struggle to quiet your mind. Even small decisions can feel exhausting when your brain won't stop analyzing them.

masking

You've gotten really good at looking okay on the outside. People often see the version of you that performs well, not the one that's struggling underneath.

identity

You feel stuck between who you've been, who others expect you to be, and who you're becoming. You're trying to better understand yourself and where you belong.

high-functioning

From the outside, things look pretty good. Underneath, you may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or like you're carrying more than anyone realizes.

neurodivergent

You've spent a lot of time adapting to a world that wasn't built with your brain in mind. Therapy can help you better understand yourself without trying to change who you are.

chronic illness

Living with chronic illness affects more than your physical health. Pain, fatigue, and medical stress can impact every part of life, including your relationships, work, and sense of self.

You deserve space for the parts of you that haven't had much room before.

what to know before we start

Natalie works with teens, young adults, and adults who often feel different, overthink everything, or spend a lot of energy adapting to the people around them. Many of her clients are navigating masking, identity questions, chronic illness, complex trauma patterns, or the experience of looking okay on the outside while quietly struggling underneath.

You've Probably Been Carrying This For A Long Time

Long enough that some of it may feel normal..
long enough that you've learned how to function around it...
long enough that other people might not even know how hard you're working.

That doesn't mean you have to keep doing it alone.

Therapy can be a place to slow down...
understand the parts of you that learned to adapt...
make room for your needs...

and reconnect with yourself again.
